In his role as Vice President, Operations, David Plamondon is a passionate and dynamic leader who believes success comes through individual and collective accountability, and the pursuit of common goals. David oversees the Granby plant operations and is leveraging his manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain expertise to continue driving Allan Candy’s transformation at the Granby plant successfully. 
 
David joined Allan Candy in April 2010 from Barry-Callebaut, where he held the role of Supply Chain Director for the Americas and led all logistics and supply chain activities in a multi-site environment across Canada, USA, Mexico, and Brazil. David has over 15 years experience in the manufacturing industry, having started his career with IPL Inc. in 1994. In 1999, he joined Barry-Callebaut, taking on roles of increasing responsibility. In 2006, David successfully created a new and efficient central planning organization in Chicago. Later, David’s skills and experience proved instrumental to the success of a start up factory in Monterrey where he built their operational process and key performance indicators and completed the implementation of an ERP system (SAP).
 
Since joining Allan Candy, David kick-started numerous operational excellence initiatives that were necessary to reduce operational margins, such as implementing productivity improvements on main work centers and obtaining worldwide SQF Quality certification for the plant. David also actively participated and completed the renegotiation of a new Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Granby plant that allows for more operational flexibility and adopts necessary cultural changes.
